Spring 2012 30-hour Civil Mediation Training
Enhance your practice or career – become a court-approved and/or private practice civil mediator.
Mediation is rapidly becoming the preferred method for parties to resolve lawsuits and disputes. If you are an attorney, accountant, business person, mental health or other professional and want to become a qualified civil mediator and receive training from New Jersey's premier association of professional mediators, you should take this course.
The course will be held on March 11, 12, 25 and 26, 2011 at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ (centrally located off NJ Turnpike exit 9).

The course fee is $1,195. Course fee includes all meals, snacks and course materials (except the course textbook).
NJAPM reserves the right to cancel the training and return all fees. Any cancelation by a student received within ten days of the course start date will be subject to a 25 percent cancelation fee. Refunds will not be issued after the program has started. The deposit is not refundable.
Maximum of 24 students in a class. A waiting list will be taken once we have reached the class maximum and those students will have priority for the next class.
Continuing legal education credits (including ethics credits) have been applied for and are pending.

Recommended optional courses:
Law for non-attorneys: To be effective, a mediator must be able to speak the language of their clients. Being fluent in civil and court procedure is essential in earning the trust and respect of the attorneys in each case. This addition to the basic course is recommended for all non-attorneys.
