Fall 2017 Introduction to Law for Non-attorneys
To be an effective mediator, you need to establish rapport and credibility with lawyers who are participating in mediation on behalf of clients. It is also essential for mediators who receive court assignments to understand the normal progression of causes of action through litigation including, pleadings, discovery, dispositive motion practice, trial preparation, burdens of proof, judgment collections, and legal strategy.
This mini-course is a supplement to the Civil Mediation Training and will be held on October 15, 2017 (after the regular day's class).
